Family time...
Yesterday was all about family. Linda and Dave came over early and we headed to Julie's Coffee Shop for some delicious coffee and time on the Internet sharing OLD family photos. (Warning to Andy, I have some of you at Grandma Noel's house...)
We headed back to the Lake House to meet my other cousin Marcia Beth and her husband Jim. (Marcia Beth is Linda's older sister... our mothers were sisters.) From there, after I gave them each quilts I had made, we headed out for lunch. It was a delightful meal and we sat and talked about our shared experiences and memories of each other and our family. It was wonderful. The last time I saw Marcia Beth and Jim was when my father died in 2007.
Back to the house and Linda prepared for a meeting. She is working with a group that is fund raising for a young woman who is in need of a kidney transplant. I like the way they do meetings. They met over by the lake on outdoor chairs and picnic tables with snacks and wine!!
It is so nice to be able to spend more than just a few hours with Linda. I love connecting with the few immediate family members I have.
