FAP - January 27, 2013

January 27, 2013 – Almanac Project
More melting today.  Temperatures today were a high of 36 and a low of 17.  A very wide range of temperatures today.  There is some dicey weather coming tomorrow, if the forecasters are right.  It was a gloomier day as the day progressed.  Glad to be in watching TV and sorting through boxes.

January 26, 2013 – Almanac Project
Snow still on the ground, but no new snow fell.  Temperatures today were a high of 32 and a low of 22.  Breaks of sunshine made the day one of the better winter days.  The snow was beginning to melt so I was glad I had not plowed.

January 25, 2013 – Almanac Project
Snow fell overnight and into the morning.  Total of 1.5 inches of snow, so I did not even bother to try to plow.  Still really fairly cold.  Temperatures today were a high of 24 and a low of 17.  There was a bit of a breeze, so I could see snow blowing off of the roof in the back of the house.  I did not have to leave the house, so I did not mind the snow at all.

January 24, 2013 – Almanac Project
Not much of a change from yesterday.  Still really COLD.  Temperatures today were a high of 27 and a low of 17.  Still calling for some light snow tomorrow.  Sunny today, clouding over towards evening.

FAP - January 23, 2013

January 23, 2013 – Almanac Project
Well, for once the weather forecasters were correct.  It is the coldest day we have had in almost two years.  Temperatures today were a high of 22 and a low of 12.  Double brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  Snow is scheduled now for Friday.  The frightening thing is they forecasters started the week saying it would be a bad storm, now they are saying just a couple of inches.  So either way, now, they were right at some point.

Farmer’s Almanac Project – January 21 thru January 27 Prediction

Just realized that I had not given the prediction for this week, so better late than never....

Per the 2013 Farmer’s Almanac, “Rainy periods, mild”.  Remember that the average temperature for January 2013 is supposed to be 35 degrees with 2.5 inches of precipitation.
