Pampering Me!
Yesterday I had lunch with a new gang of women. One of my quilting friends, Nancy, belongs to
the group and invited me to join them for lunch. It was a very nice outing and I met some very
nice ladies who live nearby and several of whom I knew from 30 years ago. It was fun to see how many people we had in
common as we chatted. I hope that they
will invite me back, it was a lovely group of ladies who get together once a
month.
On my way home, I took a detour. I went into the Sleepy’s Mattress Store in
the WalMart shopping center. I had
really enjoyed the Tempurpedic Mattress that was on the bed in the house I
rented in Florida in April of 2012. I
fell asleep faster and woke with fewer pains in that bed. I also felt more rested as I do not think I
tossed or turned much in the night. So I
decided to check out the cost of such beds.
My bed here at the house has not been giving me a restful sleep and
there are evenings when I have a great deal of trouble falling asleep. I am not sure a new mattress will solve any
of that, but it certainly cannot hurt.
The salesman pointed out several different brands and
suggested that I try them out. He had a
couple of other, more simple sales come in, so I told him to help them out and
I would just wander around and lay down on Mattresses. Well, Simmons had a very nice version of the
Memory Foam mattresses that included some upgrades to make it comfy, comfy,
comfy. Of course the price was stunning
for all of that comfy and technology.
AND, wouldn’t you know, they had these mattresses on the adjustable
bed frames that have a remote to raise the head, feet, both, neither as well as
massage settings that relax and rewind one after a hard day. PLUS, they were offering no interest
financing with no penalty should I decide to pay it off.
Well, let’s just say that I could find no reason to say “no”. And so I signed on the dotted line and my
wonderful new bed will arrive on Friday between 3 PM and 7 PM. I am soooooooooooooooooo excited! I may end up spending the weekend in
bed! The good news, I will not be sick
unless I come down with something between now and then. Put I may very well think I have died and
gone to heaven!!!
Camp Parkesburg will now have an amusement ride!! Can't wait to Molly sit again to try it out! See you Friday for the test ride!!! xoxo
