Yes, the Blu-Ray player in the bedroom has connected to the new router and I have been enjoying the new Amazon Fire TV when I get into the bedroom at bedtime. Today I have found my Verizon rebooting all on it's own, so either Verizon is pumping out new programming or there is an upgrade from the manufacturer or I have an issue with my router. Time will tell. But to give credit where credit is due, having the additional router that allows me to use the "n" band has really allowed an increase in the speed to my computers.
So, the elephant is a bit smaller. I managed to go through parts of the living room and have reduced the piles and once again, I am seeing floor space that has not been visible for a while. I have a long way to go, and once I am done, I will probably go back to some areas ad eat a little more, nut it makes everything manageable.
I have taken some time to gather together one of my old embroidery sewing machines and give it to my dear friend, Sheila. She recently became a Grandmother for the first time and little Miss Sadie will be in need of some embroidered items. Sheila has talked about wanting to have an embroidery machine, so I decided to give her my Viking D-2 machine. I found everything except the D-Card Reader/Writer box. I had two of them, but they were in Maryland so they must be in one of the unopened boxes from the move. So in between eating me elephant, I will also be looking into boxes which I have not done for a while. And, if I cannot find it, I will just trade out my D-1 machine and let her have that one. I do not use either one for embroidery since I have my Happy machine.
I have also managed to get some sewing in. I have started a project using a template and system that Sharon brought to Fancy Gap. I cannot tell you about it for a couple of weeks, but I promise I will have pictures soon.
So I am about a week and a half from boarding a plane for Alaska. I leave on the 18th and will spend my birthday with Rob and Kate. An email from Rob asked me if I would be interested in taking a day-long trip to the Arctic Circle. I am very excited to be able to do that. This is something I had not even considered but should be a grand adventure, however, I may have to pack some warmer clothes than I had planned! Does anyone know what the current weather is at the Arctic Circle???
