Monday, Marge Krumrine took me into the hospital when the planned ride had to back off. Checked in by 7:00 AM. Prepped, questioned and taken to the surgical suite at 9:00 AM. Marge waited with my suitcase. 45 minute procedure... cut, saw and glue clean up, staple and to recovery.
In my room just before lunch.
Turkey sandwich and chicken soup for lunch, then rehab visited and I was up on my feet with one very sore knee.
Dinner, and sleep.
Day two, slow removal of tubes. Drain in my knee, cath, IV. etc. Great food all day. Two sessions of rehab. Doctors in and doctors out.
Fitful sleep. One ca never get good rest in a hospital, regardless of how good it is! And Lancaster General is top notch.
Breakfast. Surgeon says, go home. Go to PT, PT and OT say go home. Medical comes in. Waiting on urine test, but they say go home.
Rob landed last night.
He headed to Lancaster with Marge Krumrine in tow to lead the way. Rob made a wrong turn, did a U-turn, but not used to the length of the van and scraped along the passenger side rea, so that will have to be fixed. Minor really but he is devastated.
Picked me up, got my pain meds and therapy helpers from pharmacy.
Visitors, Jim Kennel twice, Bob Kettering twice.
In the house with walker. Dinner delivered by Parmalle and Noah Hershey. Rob is there for me and very accommodating.
Visiting Nurse and Home PT guy in today. Schedule to begin getting back on solid ground.
I am blessed!!!
Yay! Been checking here all day! So happy that everything has gone as planned.
