Additional border…
Today, I have people in working on some plumbing. These are the same folks, from Tri-County
Water Services who replaced my well pump.
I have always had hard water at the house. Dan Hershey, who co-owns the company with his
son Brent, also said I have very high PH levels which area wells are known to
have, so I needed not only a water softening system, but a water neutralizer as
well. So they are here improving my
water quality, replacing some faucets that were getting really bad so that my
pipes, faucets and water heaters will last longer and the deposits of minerals
and the like will not line up and cake in my tub, sinks and washer.
I took advantage of the time that they were here and I could
not go anywhere to add a border to the black and white strip quilt I had made
at the quilting retreat in November. I
had decided that a little border of a lime green would look nice against the
black and white. I found a material that
was the green I was looking for and the design on the green was black and
white. Then I added a black and white
border onto the green. Once it is
quilted, I will see whether a small green border or a black and white border
will look best.
Here is how it looked when I got back from retreat.
Here it is today. I
think it looks really nice.
