Poor Molly. Poor, poor Molly.
I had to remove the bandage from her injured paw. She was limping and I was afraid that it might be getting infected. So I cut off the bandage and within a few seconds, Molly began licking at her staples skin.
Good Grief, dog. This means I will have to use the collar!
The vet had sent home an Elizabethan Collar to put on Molly. It velcros shut and the cone allows her to eat (but very messy) and drink, but she cannot chew or lick any other part of her body. It will allow the wound to be out in the air and heal but she cannot lick or try to dig the staples out.
But poor Molly. Her fluffy ears are now around to the front of her face and she is not a happy dog. She cannot get comfortable (although she is doing better today) and is constantly moving around, flopping her head.
Poor Molly. Poor Jane, it is going to be a long couple of weeks!
