Really Good News...

I had finished my dinner tonight and had retired to the lower level.  I checked my phone which I had not looked at much this afternoon, as I had gotten some items at Costco, put them away, and then made dinner.

I found a voicemail from Rob asking me to call.  So I did.  They were five minutes away from my house and coming to eat their dinner here.  Once they arrived, they told me that Kate had been at her cancer doctor (I think) to see about changing one of her daily meds that keeps her blood from clotting from a shot to a pill.  At that appointment, her cancer doctor had made a call and now they were waiting for a call to see if Kate could get her COVID-19 vaccine tonight.

We were chatting about our day when Kate's cell phone rang.  They... whoever 'they' were... had completed their injections for the day and had enough vaccine leftover so they could vaccinate Kate AND Rob!!  So thrilled.  This is a great thing for them since Kate's condition makes her a very high risk,

So, by the time I get my first one, they will have had both of their vaccinations.  By the end of March, we should all be covered.

The light at the end of our tunnel appears NOT to be a train!!!
