After the picnic on Sunday and being out in the sun, Monday arrived and I just felt totally lazy. There are days like that and I totally went with the day. It is one of those things that is good... and bad.... about being retired. If I have no appointments, or nothing scheduled, do not have to go shopping and really have no one coming to the house who will give a rat's ass what it look likes, then if I am feeling lazy, then I will stay in my jammies until late afternoon and get dressed only so I can go out to get the mail.
Now, I did strip my bed, washed the sheets and put them back on the bed. So I was not a total bum on Monday.
Tuesday was not much better. It is always 'put out the trash day'... Tuesdays! It is the one day that I grumble and silently (or sometimes out loud) yell at Rudy for having the nerve to die so young and leave me behind. My job was to gather the stuff, Rudy bagged it and got it into the cans and got them around front. I hate doing this job. I really, really hate doing this job. There are times when I am dragging the can out to the front late into the evening, sometimes the last thing before I go to bed.
So I was sorting and cleaning in areas yesterday. Tearing down some boxes and just getting rid of stuff.
Today, I had all kinds of plans. I need to go to the bank to deposit checks. But I knew another one was coming to finish paying for the upcoming week at the Outer Banks. So, I started watching the swimming competitions at the Rio Olympics.... done for the day. What fun to watch. Very impressive athletes doing things I would never be able to do.
So, tomorrow will be a much busier day as I do stuff scheduled for tomorrow and then catch up on the stuff that I needed to do today.
I love being retired!!!
