iXCC stuff.....

Well, it has been a long time since I have posted to this blog.  I rehabbed my left knee and have just found myself so very busy doing things, now that I can walk without pain, that I have not really had time to post.  But I am preparing to head out for a prolonged trip after returning yesterday from a week-long adventure yesterday.  I must be crazy to be doing this at my age, but I feel I am up to the task and I will make this journey as long as I can.

I wanted to take a moment to talk about a company that I have been purchasing things from.  They sell through Amazon and it is called iXCC.  I have an old IPad with the very wide charging connection.  On my second trip to Fancy Gap, I had my old cable (from Apple) fail.  I researched on Amazon the ratings of replacement cables and selected the one from iXCC.  I was so pleased with my choice when it arrived, that I have ordered several to have on hand.  I have also ordered a couple of other cables over the last couple years and found that this company is making and selling some really quality items.

They asked me to join a special group of people.  Based on my interests, they offer products for me to purchase, test out and review.  It has been interesting as they hone in on my interests.  It started with  a High Speed travel charging plug.  I have taken it to my girl's week and had no trouble quick charging my Samsung phone.  It is an important thing for me now that my cell phone is my permanent phone.  Here is a link to this product:

At the same time they offered another product, that were 6 inch velcro wraps to keep my many, many cords organized and neat.  I could only chose one product in our special offer, but I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon.  I had gotten another brand last year, but I found them stiff and hard to use.  The straps from iXCC are superior to the other brand.  The attach more securely to the cord and are softer and more flexible, so they keep the cords more tightly wound.  This is a very nice product and you get quite a few for a reasonable price.  Here is that link:

The next iXCC item that was was offered in this program was an automobile fast charging plug.  Again, this is important to me as I travel.  My phone eats battery life when I am in the car.  The searching for internet and phone signals will kill my battery in no time.  I was able to keep my phone fully charged as I traveled to the Outer Banks.  It is well made and very sturdy.  I have had other car plugs that fell apart in no time.  This one is also quite handsome.  Not just an ugly black plug.  The link to this one is either broken or the product is no longer available, but google the seller and item and I am sure you will find it.

Just before leaving on my Outer Banks adventure, I was offered and ordered a portable power bank that can be used as extra power for any electronic item charged with a USB cord.  I got the bright red one.  It is about the size of a tube of lipstick.  And, in a pinch, it will provide power to any of your tech items that are running low and you are not able to plug it into a wall charger.  This is something I will carry with me, just in case I find myself without power.  It works well and, again, is well made.  The link to this one is:

While at the OBX, the next offer arrived.  These are Bluetooth headphones.  I have had many different kinds of headphones.  Nothing has felt comfortable.  The earbud kind would be too big or too small and never stayed plugged into my ears.  The over-the-ear headphones smash my ears lobes against my head which cause my ears to ache after prolonged use.  These lovely Bluetooth headphones from iXCC are earbuds with a goofy looking loop on the bud.  These flexible plugs are attached to a solid plastic piece with the buttons to turn on and off, pair the headphones and a built in mic.  The plastic buds fit easily in the ear canal and the goofy loop, fits into the ear crevice and gently snugs up the bud to hold it securely without the bud being jammed into the canal.  I was watching the NASCAR race when they arrived.  They charged very fast and I paired them to my IPad and fired up Sirrus/XM and have been listening to the race using the headphone.  Nothing has popped out.  Nothing has pinched or ashed.  I have moved from room to room and only lost the connection one time.  These are the nicest ear bud Bluetooth headphone I have ever had.  I will be taking these on my next trip.  LOVE these!!!  Here is the link for these....

So, that catches you up on my newest techie toys.   Stay tuned for some pictures and info on my trip.  Heading to Columbus, OH first night.  The to visit my cousin in Lake Villa, IL for several days.  Then to my son, Brian, in Minneapolis with a brief stop at Nancy's Notions to drop off dresses for the Little Dresses for Africa project that they sponsor.  So a side trip to their shop in Beaver Dam, WI.  I will have pictures to post as I go along.

Have a great day!!!!
