Farmer’s Almanac Project

Farmer’s Almanac Project Begins….

As I mentioned a few posts ago, I have always wondered how good… or bad… the forecasts are for weather in the Farmer’s Almanac.  So here goes:

Per the Almanac, the area I am in is considered the Atlantic Corridor.  They do not do the forecast on a daily basis, but rather in a section of days.  It begins as Average temp for the MONTH is 35 degrees, with 2.5 inches of precipitation which is 1 inch BELOW average.  Days 1 through 5 list conditions as “Snow Showers then sunny, very cold.”

Tuesday January 1, 2013 – Partly sunny, high temp of 38 degrees.  Gentle breeze but no precipitation.
