Happy New Year…. Welcome 2013….
So, New Years Eve I woke up after a very sound sleep I have
had in several months. I think I
mentally have kind of realized that I no longer have any cleanup left at Indian
Acres. I still have lots of bags and
boxes to go through, sort and find homes for things, but I can do that a little
at a time over the next several weeks.
I headed to the vet’s office to get Molly’s thyroid medication
and then stopped at Dutchway for some shrimp for a late night snack and some
other items before heading home. My BFF
Debby was heading over after she finished work to spend the night so we could
celebrate the end of 2012 and look forward to 2013 together. We are both
finishing some tough times and have some very positive elements looming in the
future, so we are excited to get the tough behind and begin moving
forward.
We did not do anything exciting. I had dinner ready and just before midnight we
noshed on shrimp and chicken wings. We
very quietly noted the passing of the old year and sincerely wished each other
a better year in 2013. We watched TV
shows that neither of us had watched and I finally went to bed around 1:30 AM.
Molly was up early, but we went back to bed and started our
day on Tuesday after 9:30 AM. We
chilled, doing little or nothing. We had
coffee followed by steak and eggs. More
TV and conversations about our plans for the coming weeks filled our morning. I cooked a pork roast and sauerkraut for
dinner and it was delicious. Now if the
Good Luck story is true, we are in for a special year.
Debby headed to her home so she could get ready for work and
I can get my trash pulled together for the garbage men tomorrow.
It may not have been the party hardy scenario that most
people seem to do on New Year’s Eve, but it was exactly the way we wanted it to
begin.
Happy New Year to my family & friends. I am sending you wishes for a year full of
good health and happiness in 2013.
What a GPPD NYE we had! Thank you for being the fabulous hostess you always are and waiting on me every step of the way! I am blessed to have you in my life and look forward to a GREAT 2013 for both of us! Love you Jane! Debby
